BRIDLEMILE | PORTLAND, OR
SCOPE: Primary Bath Design
GENERAL CONTRACTOR: The Works
PHOTOGRAPHER: George Barberis
Every great design tells a story of transformation, and the Bridlemile project began with a quest for a true personal retreat for a young, growing family. Tucked away in a wooded enclave, we reimagined the primary suite as a place where the morning ritual feels like a deliberate pause. The narrative unfolds in the bath, where a bold terrazzo tub surround meets the soft, rhythmic lines of blush vertical tiles and the grounding warmth of wood paneling, a nod to the midcentury roots of the home. A custom-designed oak vanity with wood hardware and arched mirrors reflect greenery and light from all around the space. Unlacquered brass fixtures act as the golden thread, weaving through the space and into the meticulously organized walk-in closet. It’s a sanctuary designed not just for function, but for the way it feels to wake up and begin again in a space that speaks in a calm melliflous melody.
