Markham kitchen remodel

The client had recently purchased her midcentury home when she went to get some frozen yogurt in the Pearl... as she was window shopping along NW 10th, she found herself gazing into the retail studio at our glossy white kitchen cabinets, dreaming of a modern kitchen.  The last remodel of her home was completed in the 1980's and well, you can get the visual.  Needless to say, we were soon designing an amazing black stained oak kitchen with chunky white counters and a faucet our client admitted she wanted to marry. The eating bar is made from Oregon black walnut, and the flooring is Edgeworth Laminated-Ply.  The tile is made locally by Clayhaus Ceramics.

The kitchen is sculptural and dramatic, though we have to say the highlight of the remodel was during the demo, when the time capsule hidden in the blind corner of the cabinets - complete with model airplanes, school photos, and magazines was uncovered!

The Scope: full re-design of kitchen, materials, finishes and fixture selections.
