In a world not so far away...
behind an unsuspecting façade in the towering Pearl condo world, lie several bright designlab custom kitchen designs. In this modern kitchen remodel, you can experience our signature - careful cabinet detailing, this time in Oregon walnut horizontal open grain. There lives a winding shelf that travels from above the counter, waterfalls down to the window seat - making use of an area that was previously ignored - creating ample storage below and a bench above where one may bask by the window overlooking a quaint urban courtyard. The walnut "shelf" turns to climb up and sail over the hidden wine storage and zigzags around to define the entrance to the kitchen as a bar; a splendid spot to peruse the New York Times and sip small batch Portland, Oregon coffee before the hectic work day sets in. All the while, white Pentalquartz counters and back painted glass upper cabinets reflect light and speak clean, modern goodness. Moral of the story: it's funny how with kitchen cabinets, much like in life, sometimes the before seems fine until there is retrospect.
And the walnut and white lived happily ever after.
(until next time).
