"936" whole house remodel and addition

The client of this amazing space is a General Contractor, who hosts out of town guests and entertains regularly.  He wanted to open up the back of his 1800's victorian home to create a connection to outside and to capitalize on the view from the widow's peak.  What can we say, it just seemed natural to have a modern light filled tower "secretly" soaring from the backyard.  The design of the entire house is about juxtaposition of materials that complement and contrast which was a natural fit for our eclectic and talented client.  The kitchen is a mix of red laminate, Apple-ply, raw steel and wood, with Carrara marble counters.  The spa, which was once just dirt and basement, is complete with Port Orford cedar ofuro tub, creamy white tile with cedar sauna.

The Scope: basement, kitchen, bathrooms, loft space, media room, Japanese inspired spa, rear tower addition, roof deck, indoor/outdoor living space.
